Episode IX: Meanwhile back in Willow Creek
In the morning as Katherine sat sipping her coffee she suddenly realized that she had not seen Mihai since he had gone out the previous afternoon.
So Katherine ventured outside the apartment building to see where Mihai might be.
She walked down the street towards the canal where Mihai said he thought there may be a nicer fishing spot.
Crossing to the other side of the street she saw no sign of Mihai, but it was then that she noticed the large old tree in the field beside the canal. Even from a distance its appearance told her that there was something special about this tree.
When she came upon the tree, her instincts in these matters suggested the same thing as it had for Mihai the previous day. Although Katherine took a different approach than had Mihai… she read from her favorite book of poetry.
Reading from her favorite book of poetry had always in past brought on strange and sometimes deadly results. As she read, she did keep in mind that she might be summoning unwelcomed visitors.
Yet this time something seemly positive did happen… As she read from her favorite book of poetry a magical opening in the trunk of the large old tree appeared.
Katherine took a cautious peek inside the large old tree and after she convinced herself that there were no creepy-crawlies hanging inside the doorway…
…she entered the trunk of the large old tree.
