Episode XXV: Testing, Testing, 1-2-3
So Katherine and Mihai each filled out an application to attend the university. Considering their situation they needed to think carefully about what they wrote on the forms.
Next Katherine struggled with the aptitude test. When she was finished she was sure that she had got many of the questions wrong on the exam.
When Paul came into the library and appeared to breeze right through the questions on his exam, Katherine stood there with a sinking feeling building in the pit of her tummy.
When Peter came into the library Katherine told him, “Mr. Dobbs-Dawson, I can’t do this! I am certain that I am going to be a failure!”
Peter replied to Katherine: “As I said earlier, if you have the right attitude – a positive one – then you are sure to succeed. You just need to believe in yourself.”
Paul jumped in and offered his take on things: “Katherine, everyone knows that I am complete and total idiot, but I believe in myself and I know that I will succeed.”
Peter responded to this by saying: “It is a little different with Paul… I have donated a heck of a lot of money to that university… so as long he doesn’t doing anything stupid, he had better pass.”
Since they were both laughing at what Peter had said, Katherine started to feel a little more at ease. She then turned and thanked Peter for giving her this opportunity.
