This afternoon I went onto the laptop that I have been playing TS4 on with the intent that I would launch Origin and then download the new patch 1.7. When I launched Origin I got a message reminding me I was already logged in someplace else. That someplace else where I was already logged into Origin is my new gaming laptop.
After what I have been through the past few months, since the first of the year (primarily recovering from a major operation), I decided to buy myself a reward for doing so well. The reward that I bought was a MSI GS Series GS60 Ghost Pro 4K-078 Gaming Laptop
The specs of the gaming laptop are…
|CPU||Intel Core i7 4710HQ (2.50GHz)|
|HD||1TB HDD256GB SSD|
|GPU||NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M 6 GB GDDR5|
|Display||15.6″ 4K (Ultra High Definition)|
|OS||Windows 8.1 64-Bit|
What this means is that I now, once again, have a place that I can play The Sims 3. So, for a number of hours now Origin has been steadily chugging away downloading and installing all of the TS3 EPs and SPs that I own onto my new gaming laptop.
So my new plan right now is spend time re-exploring the worlds of TS3.
This seems like great timing because from what I have read in the patch notes for the May 14 patch ( PC Version 184.108.40.2060 / Mac Version 220.127.116.110) the issue with family trees has not been address. Until that gets fixed, I really have no interest in playing TS4.
