Sawyer Clemens had trouble sleeping. Around two in the morning, he got up donned his scuba gear and went down to the mess deck.
He tried to eat some breakfast, but his respirator got in the way.
The situation was a little awkward when Jamie and Sawyer got into a dingy and set off on their mission.
Jamie wanted to know what they were doing and where they were going.
Sawyer responded by saying that if, he told Jamie anything about the mission, that he would have to kill her. Jamie was not least bit amused, but before she had a chance to argue with her ex-boyfriend…
…she was sitting alone in the dinghy. In the blink of an eye, Sawyer had put on his scuba gear, had gone over the side and down into the water.
It took him only a few minutes to be assimilated to the cold murkiness of the depths of the Gulf of Simexico.
And it did not take him long to find what he was looking for.
Just as Sawyer had suspected there was at the bottom of the Gulf – a hole – and it was from the hole at the bottom of the Gulf that swarms upon swarms of jellyfish were escaping into bay and the shores surrounding Twin Bayous.
Although Sawyer had found what he was looking for, he knew that this was only the beginning of what would be a long drawn out war…
