Let’s Play The Sims 4!

Let’s Play The Sims 4!

Right now The History of Twin Bayous (THOTB) is on break as I take time to relax and think about where the story is going to go for the remaining three seasons.

As I started planning the episodes of for season seven, I had to step back as I realized that once again I was over-thinking it. In the past, I gotten myself into trouble as my planning was more of a burden than anything else and I was making more work for myself.

As a result, I am not going to put any pressure on myself to get season seven started.

In the meantime, I have gone back to playing The Sims 4. As I mention in my May 28 post, I had then started playing a legacy in The Sims 4. I called the legacy “Rotational Play Reverse Legacy Challenge (RPRLC)” and I played for a few weeks back in June before I got started on season six of THOTB.

So as I picked up again at where I left off back in June, I started thinking once again of doing a story blog in TS4. If did one of these in TS4, this would be my third or fourth attempt.

Right away I nixed the idea of doing story blog in TS4 and as I did, I questioned why I was having some much trouble coming up with a story/plot in TS4 as it always seems so easy in TS3.

There are things that I do not like about TS4, but these are little things that should not stop me from doing this.

As I was once again struggling with the thought of starting a story blog in TS4, it suddenly hit me that maybe I could do a “let’s play” in TS4.

I checked and I found that I had everything that I needed to do LPs. I already have installed NVIDIA GEOFORCE EXPERIENCE to capture videos and my daughter is allowing me to use her Adobe Premiere Pro to edit the videos.

I’ve come up with a plan for a number of LPs and so far, at the time of this writing, I have recorded six LPs and I plan to publish a couple of them each week.

Here is some background…

I started by removing every household in the world and outside the world. Everyone… gone!

I then created eight households in the same way that I did for the History of Twin Bayous. I placed four families in one neighborhood and four in a second neighborhood.

In the Pendula View neighborhood, I placed the Poindexters, Viernes, LeFey, and the Ringwald households. Naturally, the LeFey’s moved into the old Goth house.

On Courtyard Lane, I placed the Clemens, Stoney, Gentille, and Goombah families.

The first four LPs will introduce everyone and the following episodes will (hopefully) illustrate the progress of the story in the same way as a story blog.

Well, not exactly in the same way. We’ll see how it goes…
I have never done a “Let’s Play” before so I do not know what to expect. This first episode is my very first attempt at doing a “Let’s Play!”. So, please be kind…
